About Tyner Ridge Estates
Welcome to the Tyner Ridge Estates Website. Tyner Ridge Estates is located at the corner of Tyner Boulevard and Highway 16 West in Prince George, BC and is in the process of becoming a vibrant, new community which will offer beautiful views of the city and the mountains to the east, as well as offer easy access to UNBC, shopping and recreation. Organized housing and landscaping will create a community attractive to both residents and visitors alike.
Tyner Ridge Estates is being built in phases. Phase 1 is complete, consists of 40 lots, and is ready for sale now. Phase 2, which consists of 30 lots will be ready in the fall of 2008 . A third development is in the planning stage.
Tyner Ridge Estates, with its view of the mountains, has street names in honour of local peaks. Street design was carefully thought out and employs cul-de-sacs as a way to ensure local traffic doesn't become a nuisance or possibly harm children playing. A buffer zone of reserved land and trees shield Tyner Ridge Estates from the noise of the intersection at Hwy 16 and Domano Blvd., and smaller buffer zones run along both Hwy 16 W and Tyner Blvd.
Access to recreational areas from Tyner Ridge Estates is fantastic. Trails for hiking, walking and skiing begin at UNBC, where they connect to the network of trails at Forest for the World and the Cranbrook Hill Greenway, which then connects to the Otway Ski trails, the Heritage River trails, and the Cottonwood Island Park trails. Enjoy nature at Forests for the World, Prince George's largest park, then in less than 15 minutes, be swimming in beautiful West Lake. The many lakes off Hwy 16 W are perfect for a day's fishing and boating.
Access to our university is unparalleled: in five minutes you can go from your driveway to the parking lot at UNBC. Tyner Ridge Estates also enjoys the good fortune of proximity to Prince George's newest shopping area, the Westgate Shopping Plaza. Stores of every type, both big and small, are located there, as well as restaurants, banks and gas stations.
